About Us

Opened in 1986 Kelowna Yarn & Needlecrafts is nestled in the pristine beauty of the Okanagan Valley in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.

In 1989, Anne and Stephen Hearnden moved to Kelowna with their two sons, and purchased the store with the continued dedication of bringing quality yarn and needlecraft supplies to the valley. In the store today you will find a friendly and relaxed environment that is inviting to those seeking help with projects.

Here at Kelowna Yarn & Needlecrafts we are proud to be Canadian so we stock our shelves with a wide range of Canadian designs and products. We also realize that not everyone is interested in the same thing, that's why we carry a variety of yarns; we are the only store in the Okanagan to offer our customers Prairie Wool and Country Roving (alternatives for White Buffalo).

We also offer Brittany and Addi Turbo needles and Eucalan Wool Wash.

To our stitchers we offer a selection of cross stitch kits, charts (including many by Canadian designers), DMC and Anchor embroidery threads as well as Sampler Threads, Kreinik Blending Filaments, #4 and #8 Braids and Anchor Tapestry Wool. Fabrics including - Aida, Linen, Lugana and Jobelan.
