Diagonal Rib Scarf

Materials: *2 skeins Marks & Kattens                  Alpaca (50m per skein)

8mm needles or size needed to obtain gauge

Finished size: 4½ins x 46ins (13cm x 116cm)

Abbreviations: K – knit, P – purl

Gauge: 12sts slightly stretch over 4ins (10cm)

 

 

Cast on 18sts. 

Row 1: (K3, P3) 3 times.
Row 2: (K3, P3) 3 times.

Row 3: P1, (K3, P3) twice, K3, P2.
Row 4: K2, (P3, K3) twice, P3, K1.

Row 5: P2, (K3, P3) twice, K3, P1.
Row 6: K1, (P3, K3) twice, P3, K2.

Row 7: (P3, K3) 3 times.
Row 8: (P3, K3) 3 times.

Row 9: K1, (P3, K3) twice, P3, K2.
Row 10: P2, (K3, P3) twice, K3, P1.

Row 11: K2, (P3, K3) twice, P3, K1.
Row 12: P1, (K3, P3) twice, K3, P2.

Repeat Rows 1 – 12 until desired length or you run out of yarn.

Don’t forget to leave enough for casting off, you need approximately 4 times the width of your scarf.
