Size: Medium   
Materials: approximately 80m of Chunky Yarn
Gauge: 14sts to 4ins (10cms) in stocking stitch on 6mm needles or size needed to obtain gauge
Abbreviations: K - Knit, P - Purl,
St(s) - Stitch(es), K2tog - knit two stitches together, P2tog - purl two stitches together

Knit flat with 6mm needles.

Cast on 73sts loosely.
Row 1: (right side) K1, *P2, K2 repeat from * to end of row.
Row 2: *P2, K2 repeat from * to last stitch. P1.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for approximately 5½ inches.
Decrease Rows
Row 1: K1 *P2, K2tog, P2, K2 repeat from * to end of row.
Row 2: *P2, K2, P1, K2 repeat from * to last st, P1.
Row 3: K1, *P2, K1, P2tog, K2 repeat from * to end of row.
Row 4: *P2, K1, P1, K2 repeat from * to last st, P1.
Row 5: K1, *P2tog, K1, P1, K2 repeat from * to end of row.
Row 6: *P2, K1, P1, K1 repeat from * to last st, P1.
Row 7: K1, *P1, K1, P1, K2tog repeat from *
8 times, P1, K1, P1, K2.
Row 8: P2, *K1, P1, repeat from * to end of row.
Row 9: K1, *K2tog repeat from * to last st, K1.
Row 10: P1, *P2tog, repeat from * to last st, P1.

Break yarn and thread through sts on needle, pull tightly and fasten off. Sew seam.

 
Knit in the round with 6mm double pointed needles.

Cast on 72sts loosely.
Round 1: *P2, K2 repeat from * to end of row.
Repeat Round 1 for approximately 5½ inches.
Decrease Rounds
Round 1: *P2, K2tog, P2, K2 repeat from * to end of round.
Round 2: *P2, K1, P2, K2 repeat from * to end of round.
Round 3: *P2, K1, P2tog, K2 repeat from * to end of round.
Round 4: *P2, K1, P1, K2 repeat from * to end of round.
Round 5: *P2tog, K1, P1, K2 repeat from * to end of round.
Round 6: *P1, K1, P1, K2 repeat from * to end of round.
Round 7: *P1, K1, P1, K2tog repeat from * to end of round.
Round 8: *P1, K1, repeat from * to end of round.
Round 9: *K2tog repeat from * to end of round.
Round 10: Repeat Round 9.

Break yarn and thread through sts on needle, pull tightly and fasten off.
