Model was knit using Marks & Kattens Fame Trend

Size: approx 3½ ins x 70 ins (9cm x 178cm)

Materials:  approx 210m (227yds) 4ply fingering (sock weight yarn)
4mm needles or sized needed to obtain gauge

Gauge: approx 22sts to 4ins (10cms) on 4mm (US6) needles in garter stitch

Abbreviations:  K – knit, st(es) stitch(es)

Cast on 17sts loosely.

First Section
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Knit 16sts, turn, leaving 1 stitch unworked.
Row 3: Knit 16sts
Row 4: Knit 16sts
Row 5: Knit 16sts.
Row 6: K15, turn, leaving 2 sts unworked.
Row 7: Knit 15sts.
Row 8: Knit 15sts.
Row 9: Knit 15sts.

 

 


Repeat Rows 6 – 9 knitting 1 stitch less each time on Row 6 until only 1 stitch remains ending with Row 6.

Next Row: Knit 1 stitch. 

Turning Rows

Row 1: *K1, yarn around needle twice, repeat from * to last st.  K1.
Row 2: K1, *drop yarn overs off needle, K1, repeat from * to end of row.

Second Section
Repeat First Section starting on Row 2.

Third Section
Repeat First Section starting on Row 1.

Repeat Section 3 until desired length ending with after the K 1 stitch row.

Cast off loosely.

 

 

Helpful Hint

Row 1: K1, place removable marker, knit to end of row.
Row 2: Knit to marker.
Row 3: Knit to end of row.
Row 4: Knit to marker.
Row 5: Knit to end of row.
Before knitting Row 6 move stitch marker one stitch in.
