We recommend Eucalan Woolwash which is biodegradable and contains Eucalyptus oil (a mild moth inhibitor) and lanolin (a natural conditioner which also helps prevent static). Eucalan Woolwash does not need to be rinsed out which not only saves time and water but also means less abrasion and lessens the danger of shrinking and matting. Eucalan Woolwash makes hand washing so easy -just follow these directions.

MACHINE WASH: Fill washer with warm or cool water. Add 3 tbs/45ml Woolwash or more depending on size and condition of load. Hard water requires more Woolwash. Turn washer OFF, soak articles at least 15 minutes, and squeeze gently by hand. Turn wash to SPIN CYCLE, by passing the rinse. Spin to remove water. Lay flat to dry.

HAND WASH: 1 tsp/5ml Woolwash to 4 quarts/4 liters of warm or cool water. Soak articles, squeeze gently several times. Allow to soak at least 15 minutes, and one hour or longer for heavy sweaters and blankets. Squeeze out all moisture. DO NOT RINSE! Lay flat to dry.
