Yarn Okanagan - Fine Finishing



Never procrastinate about seaming and weaving in ends again! Learn to finish your knits with ease and even enjoy the process. This workshop will take you through the fundamentals of washing and blocking various fiber types, seaming, weaving in ends and picking up stitches. You'll come away with tips and tricks to streamline the process, making finishing fun and efficient.
Requirements:
Please knit two swatches with DK or worsted weight yarn prior to class. Swatch 1: Cast on 32 stitches. Knit in 2x2 ribbing for 2 inches. Continue in stocking stitch for another 4 inches. Cast off. Swatch 2: Cast on 20 stitches. Knit in stocking stitch for 4 inches. Knit in garter stitch for 2 inches. Cast off. Please bring to class: Contrasting yarn to sew swatches; a button; a needle with an eye that fits through the hole of the button; darning needle; a notebook; and a pencil. There may be time in class to ask question specific to a project so if you have a project you're struggling to finish, please bring it along.
