Beginner Rug Hooking
Heidi's class at Kelowna Yarn & Needlecraft will focus on how to use the basic rug hooking stitch to create an adorable California Quail mat, with a little bit of the Kelowna wine vibe incorporated into the design. You will leave class with everything you need to complete the mat: materials, skills, and most importantly, enthusiasm!
The kit fee for the basic quail mat is $40 which includes a hand drawn pattern on linen, plus the wool needed to complete the mat. If you are a more advanced rug hooker, the mountain background quail kit is available for $55.
Please bring your own hook and a small pair of sharp scissors. If you don't have a hook, no fears, Heidi will have them for sale for $17.00 on the day of the class.
Kit fees payable in cash directly to the instructor.
Heidi is a McGown certified rug hooking teacher. She has been hooking rugs for 20+ years and enjoys all styles of rug hooking from primitive to fine shading and everything in between. Two of her rugs have been finalists in Rug Hooking Magazine’s Celebrations magazine.
