Guest Speaker: History of Hand Hooked Rugs
Please join us for a fun introduction into the world of rug hooking as fiber art. This presentation will focus on the history of hand hooked rugs and an overview of different styles of rugs.
Heidi Grevstad is a McGown certified rug hooking teacher. She has been hooking rugs for 20+ years and enjoys all styles of rug hooking from primitive to fine shading and everything in between. Heidi also loves dyeing wool for rugs and wool applique. She is an experienced classroom teacher and worked as a registered nurse for 27 years. She lives with her husband in Abbotsford, BC. Two of her rugs have been finalists in Rug Hooking Magazine’s Celebrations magazine.
