Mending Woolens
We spend hours knitting items for ourselves and the people we love. It’s heartwarming and heartbreaking to see them wear thin or get holes. Our expert shares weaving techniques like duplicate stitch, a woven darn, blanket stitch and swiss darning to repair your knits.
Skill Details:
Be able to knit and purl.
Requirements:
Bring a 6" x 6" swatch knitted in stockinette, yarn of a similar weight to your swatch, in the same and different colours, darning needle and small snips. If you have a darning mushroom/egg or patch loom, bring it too but not essential.
Bring items with wear points or holes and we'll bring them back to life in class!
