The perforated edge allows you to crochet or sew on directly. You don't have to be a cobbler to do it. You have everything you need at home: crochet hooks, knitting needles, sewing machine... the usual allies. 

The soles are “standard width”. However, particularly slender feet can cope well as long as the upper shoe is made individually: as long as the area above the instep fits tightly, every foot will find sufficient support in the homemade shoe.
