Designing Your Own Colorwork Hat with Doodle Decks
Jamie Lomax of Pacific Knit Co. has created the ultimate colourwork tool, Doodle decks and patterns. Now it is as easy as 1, 2, 3 to make a custom accessory or garment using her modular colourwork patterns.
Together, we’ll learn how to use charts in a DK-weight hat pattern, discuss color theory and value to make your motifs stand out, practice a provisional cast-on, and develop strategies for knitting with multiple colors. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a hat that reflects your own design choices and the skills to continue creating custom projects.
| Requirements: | Please come to class with a doodle deck or Ravelry pattern by Pacific Knit Co., 3.5 mm 16" circular needles, 4 mm 16" circular needles, darning needle, notebook, pencil, and calculator. We would be happy to help you in store to select your pattern. The first class will include selecting your colours and casting on. |
