Little Coffee Bean Cardigan - Baby Sweater Workshop
Knitting a baby sweater is a perfect first project for dipping your toes into the world of sweater knitting. This 4 week workshop (8 total hours) is designed around a top down cardigan construction with an applied button band. You will swatch and measure gauge like a pro, master mirrored increases, knit sleeves in the round and have a finished cardigan with button bands and button holes before our time together is through! This class is specifically designed to grow your knitting toolkit and build your confidence in sweater construction and fit. This class is for advanced beginners who know how to long-tail cast on, knit and purl, work both in rows and in the round and bind off using a basic bind off.

| Requirements: | Course Prep Work (to be completed prior to the first class) Knit a swatch on 5mm needles by casting on 22 stitches and knitting in stockinette flat, until the piece is approximately square. Soak the swatch in warm water and lay flat to dry. Please bring the following materials to the first class: 2x 100g worsted weight yarn in contrasting colors Needle sizes ranging from 3.5mm to 5.5mm for swatching Stitch markers of various sizes, locking and fixed 5 3/4” diameter buttons to coordinate (these can be selected before week 4) Stitch holders or scrap yarn Ruler Tapestry needle Pencil and paper Calculator Please download a copy of the Little Coffee Bean Cardigan by Elizabeth Smith https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/little-coffee-bean-cardigan If you require help please drop by the store and we will be happy to help you select your materials and download the pattern prior to class. |
