Creating Your Own Le Bandana: Mangetsu Intarsia Shawlette
In this 3-week workshop, you’ll explore the art of intarsia by knitting the striking Le Bandana: Mangetsu shawlette by Aimée Gille—a beautifully textured triangular bandana that blends bold color blocking with modern design.
Perfect as a stash-busting project, this class encourages you to dive into your collection of leftover yarns and bring scraps of fingering weight in a variety of colors to play with. Along the way, you’ll learn how to follow and manage intarsia charts, handle multiple yarns without tangling, and shape the triangular shawlette by increasing to the midpoint and then decreasing to the tip. By the end of the course, you’ll have a vibrant, one-of-a-kind accessory and the skills to confidently incorporate intarsia into future projects.
