Rigid Heddle 3/1 Lace Scarf
Plain weave is so perfect for so many projects. Hand dyed warps look amazing, coloured stripes just pop and if you want to practice dediative, mindfulness weaving, there is nothing like plain weave. But have you tried using a pickup stick? A pickup stick can explode your weaving world. These rounded, pointed or flat ended sticks are used to increase the number of shafts on a two shaft rigid heddle loom.
In this workshop we will be using a pick up stick to create a lovely 3/1 Lace pattern on our scarf. 3/1 Lace gives a light, simple pattern that can be easily switched on and off during our weaving.
