Fingertip-Down Colorwork Mitts in DK Weight

Learn to knit cozy, well-fitted colorwork mittens starting right at the fingertips and working down to the cuff using DK weight yarn. This construction allows for excellent fit control, easy length adjustments, and a smooth, comfortable finish at the cuff. In this class, we’ll cover the essentials of fingertip-down mitt construction, including Judy's Magic cast-on for the fingertips, increasing methods for shaping the hand, and setting up a clean, well-fitting thumb gusset.
Students will explore stranded colorwork techniques in the round, with a focus on managing floats, maintaining even tension, and confidently following colorwork charts. DK weight yarn makes these mitts quick to knit and ideal for showcasing bold, graphic colorwork motifs from Pacific Knit Co's Doodle series. This class is perfect for knitters who are comfortable knitting in the round and ready to expand their colorwork skills while learning a versatile, customizable mitt construction.
