Brioche Bandana
This three-session knitting workshop guides knitters through the techniques needed to create a cozy brioche bandana cowl using bulky-weight yarn. Each two-hour session combines clear instruction, hands-on practice, and unhurried time to knit, ask questions, and settle into the rhythm of brioche. Knitter's will likely be going home with homework for the week.
In Session 1, students will learn two-color brioche in the round while beginning the cowl band, focusing on yarn management, stitch identification, and establishing a confident brioche rhythm. Session 2 introduces one-color brioche in the round and teaches how to transition cleanly between one- and two-color brioche sections, building an understanding of structure and pattern flow. In Session 3, we move to two-color brioche worked flat, incorporating decreases to shape the triangular bandana front.
Bulky yarn allows stitch anatomy to be clearly visible, making brioche more approachable and forgiving. This course is best suited to adventurous beginners and intermediate knitters who are comfortable knitting, purling and working in the round and who want to deepen their skills in a relaxed, supportive environment.
